75-Minute Country Lane Ride

Country Lane Tour runs through Jesters Flat. Rated 4.9 across 325 reviews. Runs 75 minutes (approx.). From $85.

Overview

The Country Lane Tour is a 75-minute escorted ride from Jesters Flat, and it is built around one idea: mixed abilities should be able to ride together. Guides ride with the group the whole way so that riders of different skill levels can be catered for.

Most of the ride moves at a relaxed walking pace through Margaret River countryside and winding bush tracks. There is usually a chance to trot, and the guides will typically let riders try out some skills while keeping everyone controlled. Trotting is never guaranteed, since it depends on the safety of the group on the day. Riders who would rather walk the entire time are pointed instead toward the operator's longer Introduction to Horse Riding, which runs for 1.5 hours.

The tour suits all abilities, from beginners to advanced, and it is designed for groups of mixed riding abilities. You make your own way to the meeting point at 1549 Rosa Brook Rd, Rosa Brook, since hotel pickup is not included. Tell the operator ahead of time if you have particular requirements and they will try to account for them.

What To Expect From The Tour

A few practical points will make this ride smoother, from getting there to choosing the right pace.

• Pace and ability. The listing describes the ride as easy and relaxed, with a possible trot subject to group safety. It is open to all abilities from beginners to advanced, so do not worry if you have never sat on a horse before.
• Group feel. This is an escorted group ride designed for mixed abilities riding together. Guides keep the group safe and controlled throughout.
• Special requirements. The operator asks that you let them know about any particular requirements in advance. Passing this on early gives them the chance to account for your needs on the day.
• Choosing the right ride. If you want to stay at a walking pace for the whole ride, the operator recommends their 1.5 hour Introduction to Horse Riding instead. That option is aimed at riders who prefer not to trot.
• Language and timing. The tour runs in English and lasts approximately 75 minutes. Plan your day around that time when you schedule the ride.

Common issues. Because the group is mixed, trotting only happens when guides judge it safe, so it is not guaranteed on any given ride. Hotel pickup is not included, so you need your own transport to Rosa Brook. Anyone who prefers a walk-only ride should book the operator's 1.5 hour Introduction to Horse Riding instead. Cancellation terms sit on the live booking page, and cancelling late or missing the ride may attract a fee.
